Winter is powder time in the Fernie and the Elk Valley. Huge snowflakes float down from the heavens, blanketing the Elk Valley and creating our winter playground.


Fernie Alpine Resort boasts five alpine bowls and it has a total of 1500 acres of epic terrain. Advanced riders and novices will never get board at Fernie from dropping off ridges, checking out chutes, tree skiing, utilizing natural gullies, making first tracks or trying all the trail systems this resort has it all! There is also an array of beginner runs that are extremely scenic and the kids love the mighty moose or the animal adventure trails through the trees!
